I am a huge fan of the work of the late Chris Cornell, both his work with bands and his solo work.  The song “Spoonman” is a favorite of mine from Soundgarden’s 1994 album “Super Unknown”. I love that the song centers a busker who was pretty famous in Seattle at the time, Artis the Spoonman, who also appeared in the song’s video. I think Cornell was challenging people to not judge a book by its cover so to speak: just because a musician is busking doesn’t mean he’s not supremely talented.
